The aim of my fashion film 'Subversion' was to show my model walking towards an abounded church and then making her way around the location but then ending up at the same place at the end of the film to signify that the character is going round in circles with her pain. As the cinematographer, I was filming my model from a distance to create a sense of someone following her to create a feeling of my model being on edge and being watched. The effect of a fisheye and vignette is there to create the effect she is stuck in a bubble and cannot get out. I wanted to show throughout the film my model looked restrained through her emotion and body movements. The ending shows that the character wants to break free by ripping off her mask of make-up and that she is trying to connect with the outside world.
